Teens today face many challenges, from school pressures to social changes. Finding ways to manage stress and express themselves can be difficult. Our Yoga & Creativity Camp offers a unique space where young people ages 11 to 14 can learn tools to stay calm, focused, and confident while exploring their creative side. This half-day summer camp combines yoga, mindfulness, and art projects designed to support emotional well-being and personal growth.

A Supportive Space for Movement and Mindfulness
The camp creates a calm and welcoming environment where teens can move their bodies through yoga and breathwork. Each day begins with gentle yoga sequences that help students connect with their breath and body. These sessions focus on building strength, flexibility, and balance while encouraging relaxation.
Mindfulness practices are woven throughout the day. Teens learn simple techniques to calm their minds and stay present, such as guided breathing exercises and quiet reflection time. These skills help them manage feelings of overwhelm or distraction, which are common during adolescence.
By practicing yoga and mindfulness together, campers develop emotional regulation and inner balance. These tools are valuable not only during camp but also in everyday life, helping teens navigate stress and change with greater ease.
Creative Projects That Connect to Emotional Wellness
Creativity plays a central role in the camp experience. Each day includes a hands-on art project that ties into the themes of yoga and mindfulness. These projects are designed to be fun, meaningful, and accessible for all skill levels.
Campers will create:
Intention and prayer boxes to hold their hopes and positive thoughts
Mala bead bracelets that can be used for meditation and focus
Mandala rock art to explore patterns and calm the mind
Gratitude prayer flags to celebrate things they appreciate
Lavender eye pillows for relaxation and self-care
Each item connects to a specific yoga or mindfulness concept, helping teens understand how creativity supports emotional health. They also get to take home everything they make, along with new tools to support their mind and heart.
Why This Camp Matters for Teens
Adolescence is a time of rapid change and sometimes uncertainty. Many teens experience stress from school, friendships, and family life. This camp offers a positive, grounding experience that helps them build resilience.
The combination of movement, mindfulness, and creative expression gives teens practical skills they can use anytime they feel overwhelmed. Learning to breathe deeply, focus their attention, and express emotions through art can improve confidence and self-awareness.
No prior experience in yoga or art is needed. The camp welcomes all levels, making it a safe place for beginners and those with some background to grow together.
Camp Details and What to Expect
The Yoga & Creativity Camp runs from July 20 to 24, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM each day. It is held at P.S Yoga in River Grove, Illinois. The camp fee is $295, with an additional $25 materials fee for art supplies.
Space is limited to keep the environment calm and supportive. This ensures each teen receives personal attention and feels comfortable exploring new skills.
During the week, campers will:
Practice yoga and breathwork daily
Engage in mindfulness exercises and quiet reflection
Complete creative projects linked to emotional wellness
Play games that encourage connection and fun
This mix of activities creates a balanced schedule that nurtures both body and mind.

Building Lifelong Skills for Focus and Calm
The techniques taught at camp are simple but powerful. Teens learn how to use breath to calm their nervous system, how to focus their attention through mindfulness, and how to express feelings through creative projects. These skills support mental health and can improve concentration, emotional control, and self-confidence.
By practicing these tools in a supportive group setting, teens also build social connections and a sense of belonging. The camp encourages kindness, respect, and openness, which helps participants feel safe to be themselves.
Give Your Teen a Summer Experience That Lasts
This Yoga & Creativity Camp offers more than just a week of fun activities. It provides teens with practical tools and meaningful experiences that support their well-being long after camp ends. For young people facing stress or transitions, this camp can be a valuable source of calm and creativity.
